Rehabilitation


The WatchMinder2 is an excellent assistive technology device to assist persons with memory rehabilitation. This includes:

  • Stroke survivors and their caretakers
  • Persons with brain injury and TBI
  • Elderly persons
  • Developmentally disabled persons
  • Alzheimer’s patients


The watch is being used as a memory and cueing device for persons with memory dysfunction. The reminder mode has 60 messages that remind the person to do specific tasks, like CALHME, MEDS, WORK, and TEETH. Personalized messages can also be entered into the memory of the watch. The watch has 30 daily alarms and a person’s entire day can be pre-programmed and alarms can be activated at specific times of the day and messages/reminders are displayed. The watch guides the person and provides a tool for independent living. The watch is being used successfully by stroke survivors and persons in vocational rehabilitation programs. The watch is being used by rehabilitation counselors in the Washington, Minnesota, Massachusetts and in California. WatchMinder is a vendor with the Alliance for Technology Access. The watch helps people with their daily tasks and helps them maintain their independence.
